Elevating Digital Loyalty for Compal

Compal Pomar de Prémios is a loyalty mobile app where users collect virtual fruits by scanning QR codes on Compal products to redeem rewards. My role was to bring the experience to life, elevating the existing UX with a high-end UI that respects and pushes forward Compal’s iconic branding and visual values while delivering and engaging and rewarding experience to consumers.

High-fidelity UI

My primary objective was to align the app’s visual language with Compal’s core brand values, designing all high-fidelity user flows based on the initial UX framework.

Engaging experience

To design a visually rich, engaging experience that remained intuitive and simple for the user. Every touchpoint, from the scanning process to the reward system, needed to be obvious, fluid, and visually compelling to drive user retention.

Technical handoff

Close collaboration with the engineering team to map out the technical constraints of QR integration. Through rapid prototyping and testing, I refined the scanning journey for real-world use. I also partnered with illustrators to produce high-end visual assets, ensuring the 'virtual fruits' and rewards felt premium and aligned with Compal’s identity.

What I learned

What I learned

What I learned

Key takeaways from delivering a high-engagement consumer product.

Scalability

The importance of designing a design system that could be scalable enough to accommodate the complete cycle of the campaign.

Engineering Synergy

The importance of early-stage technical alignment to ensure complex UI features are feasible within thecnical requirements and budget.

Don't make me think

While the challange was complex the solution needed to be simple and intuitive enough with zero learning curve for the user.
